July 1 – An Unusual Canada Day
For most Canadians, when you think of Canada Day you think of wearing red and white, going to barbecues or watching fireworks (or if you are us it usually has involved volunteering at the Tattoo). Not this year for us. While we still wore our red and white, it was far from a normal Canada Day.
Today saw us explore Amsterdam. Starting out taking a Sprinter train, that we somehow missed paying for, to Centre Station and going from there. Ended up visit the NEMO Science Museum, Madam Toussads, The Lego Store & a Stroopwaffel restaurant before taking another train to Zaandam area to explore windmills and wooden shoes.
Ended the exploring on a Canal Cruise before heading back to the hotel for the evening.
Todays total steps, according to Google Health…18,202!
Tomorrow we will grab our rental car and head towards France. Driving on these roads have me a bit worried but I am just the passenger so will try to bite my tongue 🙂
